Adrian's Payback
By Bryan Byrne on 10-11-05
A couple of months ago my brother came into my room and handed me something I had not seen in years. I thought that this sacred artifact from the past had been lost forever, having it in my hands again was like holding the holy grail.
What was this cherished artifact you ask? Well none other than the most brilliant published book of lyrical and poetic genius that this planet has ever seen.
It was the lyric book of none other than the greatest rapper of all time, Adrian Sapka, better known as Big Brother A.
For all of those who have no fucking god damn clue what I am talking about right now, I will give a little back story to this tall tale of a man.
You may have read my first story about this man titled “Big Brother A All Day.” In this tale I described a chance encounter with the legendary man himself, after hearing rumors that he had died. I also typed out the incredible lyrics to the CD that he released . Read them here.
It really doesn’t matter that much anyway because my words are meager in comparison, so it is only proper that I allow the man to describe himself. This is the back cover to “4 Real.”
Adrian went to High school with all the Zubazkateers who attended Yorktown High School in Westchester County, New York. This list includes Myself, Nick Rude, Jim Byrne, JJ Guaragno, Isaac Kasikov, Mike Lupo, Damien Trilogy and Adrian’s former next door neighbor himself “Mu.” Adrian went around the YHS cafeteria selling his CD and book for one penny each, accepting only pennies, he refused to give out change or take anything more than a penny.
He was a simple man, a 21 year old senior living in his own universe, some called him a retard, others said that he smelled like shit and that he hadn’t showered in at least two weeks. I think he may have been a visitor from another planet, but enough of my words here are the lyrics to his hit single “Adrian’s Payback.”
“Kickin’ it on a Labor Day picnic,” was this man’s favorite thing in the world. You can tell that because he references this “Labor Day Picnic,” in almost all of his songs. He once told Mu and myself that Labor Day Picnics are where he macks it to the finest hunnies.
Also what I find to be the funniest in this passage is when he says “I am in the rap and book game, I role with LTG and my other crew citientertainment group.” For those who knew Adrian, he never seemed to be rolling with a crew of any kind. Here is the link to the citientertainment group “Big Brother A” website that can be found on the back cover of the book. Whatever it is on this website is probably the language that Big Brother A used on his former planet.
This brings us to our next song entitled “Duck Down.”
Again “Big Brother A” uses Labor Day Picnic in one of his rhymes. I would like to know where exactly this Labor Day Picnic took place if he has to duck down from gun shots. My favorite part is when he rhymes out the Yorktown Heights zip code “One-oh-five-nine-eight.” Pure genius Adrian, utter genius.
Now lets move on to one of my favorite pieces, if you don’t feel like reading the whole page, focus on the rhyme that is about ¾ of the way down the page. Some of the best rhyming I have ever seen.
“Will, Pill, Bark, Chart, Fart, Tart, Brain, going Insane, Humane, Rap, Lap, Chap, Crap and Sap on the Map.” Never before has an Emcee blurted out such astonishing lyrics, it should be clear to you now that this man belongs up there with all the greats of Hip-hop history. Also notice yet again he has mentioned a Labor Day Picnic.
To top it all off I had this book autographed by the man himself, so you can already tell that I am going to be a filthy rich man one day, as the value of this piece is skyrocketing by the second.
Frank Losee a friend of Zubaz, is the man in which Adrian signed that he loved. Losee still refuses to accept to this day that Adrian signed it himself, he claims that it is a forgery. Well let me tell you Frank, I saw him sign it with my own god damn eyes, so fuck off.
